Galway Minor Hurlers Visit

Everyone was delighted when All Ireland Minor winners Caelom Mulry and Fionnán Garvey paid a visit to our school with the Irish Press Cup. They chatted with the children, answered all their questions and explained to them the commitment and dedication it takes to make it to Croke Park! Well done to deserving winners!

Green Flag Visit

Following on from the raising of our Water flag, we have now set our sights on achieving the next flag- The Travel Flag. Ray Foley, the travel officer with Galway County Council, paid us a visit to explain what we need to do over the next two years to receive the flag. He took a survey on how many children walked, cycled, took the bus, car pooled and drove to school. Over the next two years we hope to increase the amount of children walking cycling or parking and striding to school!!

Ms. Murphy has received numerous application letters from children hoping to make it onto the Green School Committee. The successful applicants will be announced very soon:-).
